When the wife or partner is treated, so should the husband be. And wearing of protection during the course of treatment is a good idea. Men are asymptomatic, usualy.
Causes of Gardnerella Vaginalis
It is assumed that the infection is sexually transmitted. The bacteria are also found in women without a history compatible with a sexually transmitted disease, and often produces no symptoms.
Most definitely YES. Men can (and often are) carriers of this bacteria without even knowing it…most men don’t have any symptoms at all.
It’s a very prevalent bacteria and usually only causes problems when there is a change in the woman’s normal vaginal bacteria. This change allows Gardnerella to overgrow causing an infection.
Although it is transmitted sexually, women can get it from other means too.
absolutely yes! are you carrying them now? see a doctor. good luck.
cheers!
If you give him a big enough wheelbarrow and a couple of beers, a man can carry and spread damned near anything.
